Anna Bond
Anna Bond has been working in the music industry for more than 20 years, almost entirely in the independent sector, with a focus on creating opportunities for independents to thrive in a continually-changing music business. In her role at Secretly Distribution, she is part of the global leadership team, focusing on strategy, process and technology development, analysis, and both internal and external communications.
Previously, she led creative comms and partnership at Downtown and its Songtrust subsidiary, with a particular focus on increasing access to rights management and education to independent businesses; she worked directly with clients like Cold Chillin’ and New Earth Records, as well as trade organizations and non-profits such as the MLC, Music Biz, and Keychange. Before that, she was lucky to work with artists such as Frightened Rabbit, Parquet Courts, Houndmouth, Princess Nokia, and Max Richter as US label head for UK-based indies FatCat, and later Rough Trade.
She is on the board of the Center for Music Ecosystems.
