Hart & Songs, Founder & CEO

Jamie Dee Hart

Jamie Dee Hart is a music rights management advocate who is passionate about giving back to the industry by educating independent creators at all levels of their career. Her expertise guides artists to comprehend the crucial aspect of royalty collection, which is often overlooked but vital for establishing a sustainable long-term career in the music industry. Jamie has spent the last decade working with artists, labels, and publishers, helping them leverage digital platforms and tools along with confirming they accurately collect master and publishing royalties. Now, she is the Founder & CEO of Hart & Songs, an artist and rights management firm in Los Angeles, CA offering the ideal solution for independent artists, producers, and songwriters seeking to ensure proper song registration and effective collection of their royalties. The company also has extensive experience managing metadata and handling relations with companies such as Songtrust, Sentric Music, BMI, ASCAP, and SoundExchange, among others who are crucial to the intricate process. Hart & Songs clients include chart-topping producers & songwriters behind hits such as “Tempo” with Lizzo and Missy Elliott, BLACKSWAN’s “Karma”, “Champagne and Pools” featuring Blackbear, “No Interruption” by Hoodie Allen, and more.

Jamie also manages Ryan Nealon, an LA-based pop singer-songwriter with a growing audience across TikTok and Instagram from several viral moments, as well as chill electronic producer Koresma who has over 150 million streams across all DSPs. Her past projects have encompassed a broad range of activities, from producing a live concert at Madison Square Garden for a Latin GRAMMY-nominated album to providing social media strategy guidance to breakout Clubhouse star Axel Mansoor during the app’s explosive growth which was featured in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Before founding Hart & Songs, Jamie managed the YouTube catalogs of industry giants like Wixen Music Publishing, Pulse Music Group, and Spirit Music Group. In her most recent role as a Sr. Manager on SoundCloud‘s Commercial Partnerships team, Jamie was responsible for leading the company’s relationship with publishers and songwriters. Here, she helped launch SoundCloud’s first songwriter series “Unsung Heroes” highlighting the creators behind some of the most popular songs across genres.

Jamie is dedicated to supporting artists in building their businesses through workshops for communities such as Women In Music and shesaid.so, and speaking engagements at events like NAMM. As a mentor to young executives, she advises the UCLA student-run record label Cherry Pop Records and participates in GRAMMY U and A2IM mentorship programs. Jamie has guest lectured at UCLA, NYU, and Berklee College of Music, aiming to foster transparency and fairness for the next generation of music executives and artists.
