Kevin Bergeron is a prominent figure in the New Orleans underground punk and hardcore music scene. Having played, toured, and recorded with various punk groups since the early age of 16, Bergeron learned the ropes of DIY self-promotion, producing, screen printing, and vinyl production with little to no resources. With a relentless attitude, Bergeron’s band became the first American group to tour the entire country of Cuba in 2012 as part of a cultural exchange with Cuban musicians and the country’s passionate fans of heavy music. That tour killed his band, but Bergeron already had the wheels set into motion with his partner, Sue Ellen Soto, to launch Waxwork Records. Since January 2013, Waxwork Records has become the premier soundtrack and film score record label for film music on vinyl. Waxwork Records works directly with major motion picture studios, independents, composers, and filmmakers to release the highest quality soundtracks on the vinyl format. In 2022, Waxwork Records built and opened their very own full scale vinyl pressing plant in New Orleans, La where they press their own releases, as well as records for other record labels, artists, and studios.
