Scott Durbin

Scott Durbin is best known as the driving force behind Imagination Movers, a music-based concept that evolved into a global brand. As co-executive producer and principal actor of the award-winning television series on Disney Channel, now streaming on Disney+, Scott along with his bandmates co-wrote all the songs featured on the show, earning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song in Children’s and Animation.

For over 22 years, Scott and The Movers have entertained families worldwide. Their recent success includes two new albums, multiple songwriting honors, and a viral hit, “Watermelon Meow Meow,” which has garnered over 20 million streams on Spotify alone. They’ve achieved Top 10 status on Billboard’s Kid Albums Chart and continue to perform internationally, with shows in Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Spain, and appearances at major festivals like Lollapalooza and Festival Internatioanal. They’ve also expanded their audience by hosting 18+ shows.

In addition to his entertainment career, Scott is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator for the Music Business program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His dedication to academia has earned him several honors, including the Drs. Chuck and Sue Lein/BORSF Endowed Professorship in Music Management/Business and the Rising Star Award from the College of the Arts. He was also recognized with the Eminent Faculty Award for Service Leadership. Scott’s passion for education extends beyond the classroom as a Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) Educator Ambassador, where he shares his industry expertise with future music professionals.
